Job Description

- Develop and maintain cost accounting systems, documentation, and records. - Analyze costs and recommend cost-saving strategies. - Prepare and conduct internal cost audits. - Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) for financial statements. - Assess changes in goods and services provided to determine their impact on total cost. - Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs with actual production costs. - Create product cost estimations. - Assist in auditing the preparation of the general ledger. - Analyze and report on profit margins.

Job Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - Proficiency in cost accounting and strong analytical skills. - 5-7 years of experience as a cost accountant. - Sound finance and financial reporting skills. - Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. - Strong understanding of reporting, analysis, and the inventory control cycle. - Expertise in daily transaction review using SAP as a key user, including knowledge of landed costs and monthly closing reports.
