Job Description

Cost Accounting & Analysis: Maintain and update standard cost systems; analyze variances between actual and standard costs. Review and analyze manufacturing costs, including labor, materials, and overhead. Perform monthly cost analysis and provide insight into cost drivers and profitability. Support pricing decisions by preparing product cost estimates and margin analysis. Inventory Management: Monitor and reconcile inventory transactions and balances (raw materials, WIP, finished goods). Participate in physical inventory counts and investigate inventory discrepancies. Ensure proper valuation and classification of inventory in accordance with accounting standards. Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in preparing annual budgets and periodic forecasts for manufacturing and operations. Provide cost inputs for budget planning and analyze actual performance vs. budget. Financial Reporting & Compliance: Prepare cost-related financial reports for internal and external stakeholders. Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal policies related to cost accounting. Support internal and external audits with cost accounting documentation and analysis. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve cost accounting processes, controls, and systems. Collaborate with operations, procurement, and supply chain teams to enhance cost efficiency.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 5+ years of progressive experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Strong knowledge of ERP systems and Excel proficiency. Familiarity with standard costing, activity-based costing (ABC), and variance analysis. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting. Preferred Skills: Experience with cost modeling and advanced data analysis. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Some overtime may be required during month-end close or budgeting periods.
