General Ledger (GL) Accountant

Job Description

Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts in accordance with IFRS and internal policies. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes. Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions. Coordinate with internal departments and external auditors during audits. Monitor and manage accruals, prepayments, and journal entries. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements. Continuously improve accounting processes and internal controls.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in facility management or construction sectors. Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS). Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. High level of integrity and attention to detail. Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are an advantage.
